Built in the early 1940s, after a 1937 aerial bombardment by the Republicans (Reds) leveled the original building during the Spanish Civil War, the then owner, built a five story building where he owned and operated a leather tanning business located on the lower 2nd floors. His family lived in the "Noble Apartment" (now The Boat House) on the second floor otherwise known as the "Principal" in Spanish.

Opened in 2003 The Boat House quickly became a very popular home for crew to stay in. A traditional apartment with classic roof mouldings, finished in gold leaf, large rooms, marble floors and all the luxuries of that era. We temporarily closed the house while we undertook a new build project in NZ and reopened again recently after an extensive restoration project to the house.

We pride ourselves on a slightly more upmarket crew accommodation that is clean, viby and attracts a mix of international yacht crew from around the world. Whether your boat is out the water, you are between jobs, looking for work or studying to upgrade your certifications, we are a great home away from home.
